• Heist S1.E5 "Bury the Lead" (VHS)-The likely series finale was actually one of the better episodes. Rating-**1/2
• Numb3rs S2.E21 "Rampage" (VHS)-This was just another genric episode of the crime drama. Rating-**
• Ghost Whisperer S1.E21 "Free Fall (1)" (VHS)-Way too much time was spent on the story setup but the last ten minutes or so was very well done. Rating-***
• The Unit S1.E8 "SERE" (VHS)-A simulated POW drill led to probably the best episode of The Unit's season. Rating-**1/2
• Hustle S1.E4 "Cops and Robbers" (VHS)-(1:00) Rating-*1/2
• Back on Campus S1.E7 (VHS)-A comeback episode for this show. Rating-***
• Back on Campus S1.E8 (VHS)-The season finale and finals week led to another solid episode. I definitely hope this hidden gem gets renewed. Rating-**1/2
• Extreme Makeover: Home Edition S3.E29 "Py Family" (TV)-Paul's basketball room rocked but otherwise it was just a standard episode (1:24) Rating-***
• Desperate Housewives S2.E20 "It Wasn't Meant to Happen" (TV)-(150th Episode Watched) Rating-**1/2
• Grey's Anatomy S2.E23 "Blues For Sister Someone" (TV)-Another solid episode. Rating-***1/2
• Deal or No Deal S1.E27 (VHS)-For the first time ever, the $1 million dollar case was selected. Rating-***

Worst Episode of the Week: For the second consecutive week, The New Adventures of Old Christine takes the prize for the weakest episode. I have no idea what the critics were thinking when they said this was a great show. I think it is very awkward and not funny at all.

• The Apprentice S5.E9 "Assault on Battery" (VHS)-Trump makes the correct decision by firing the unmanageable Andrea (Put me over the 100 Hour Mark). Rating-***
• Back on Campus S1.E5 (VHS)-Spring break made for the worst episode of this hidden gem. Rating-**
• Survivor S12.E12 "Perilous Scramble" (TV)-In one of the strangest votes, Courtney is sent home. Once again, this tribe proves they are a bunch of morons. Rating-***
• My Name Is Earl S1.E22 "Stole a Badge" (TV)-Another solid episode. Bowling Earl down was a classic moment and Randy had quite a few good lines. Rating-***1/2
• The Office S2.E20 "Drug Testing" (TV)-A pretty solid episode but not up to the standards of the earlier episodes of this season. The Jim and Pam moments were neat though. Rating-***
• Back on Campus S1.E6 (VHS)-Finance problems didn't lead to too much entertainment. Rating-**

• Alias S5.E12 "There's Only One Sydney Bristow" (TV)-It was great to have Will back. The scenes with Sydney and him were very reminiscent of the good old days of Alias. The twist at the end wasn't too shocking but I like where they are going with it. Rating-***1/2
• Lost S2.E0C "Lost: Reckoning" (TV)-As usual, the clip show was boring. Rating-*1/2
• Invasion S1.E19 "The Son Also Rises" (TV)-The Jesse scenes were well done but otherwise this episode lacked spunk. Rating-**

Worst Episode of the Week: A worse than average comedy got even more pathetic this week. The New Adventures of Old Christine only managed one star (out of five). A lot of awkward moments was probably the reason.

• Invasion S1.E18 "Re-Evolution" (TV)-The scifi drama comes back with a less than stellar episode.
• The Amazing Race S9.E8 "Here Comes the Bedouin!" (VHS)-The first non-elimination leg of the race was rather unexciting but the hilarious BJ & Tyler on the bus moment was priceless. Thank goodness they were saved by the non-elimination round. Rating-***

• The New Adventures of Old Christine S1.E7 "Long Days Journey Into Stan" (VHS)-There were a few funny moments but even more awkward ones. Rating-*
• Doctor Who (2005) S1.E6 "Dalek" (VHS)-Another solid episode of the British science fiction series. Rating-***1/2
• Back on Campus S1.E1 (VHS)-This ABC Family reality show was really a nice find. Rating-***
• Back on Campus S1.E2 (VHS)-The second episode showed that some of the parents were bigger partiers than their kids. It was another solid episode. Rating-**1/2
• Deal or No Deal S1.E25 (VHS)-This episode had one of the most deserving contestants and they walked away with a nice chunk of change. Rating-***
• Celebrity Cooking Showdown S1.E1 (VHS)-I didn't expect much from the show so I was pleasantly surprised. Rating-***
• Back on Campus S1.E3 (VHS)-This hilarious episode is the highpoint of the series so far. Rating-***1/2
• Back on Campus S1.E4 (VHS)-Midterm week leads to some nice stories. Rating-***
• Veronica Mars S2.E19 "Nevermind the Buttocks" (TV)-There were so many good sarcastic remarks in this episode. After several slow episodes, this one really got the series back on track. Rating-****
• Scrubs S5.E19 "His Story III" (VHS)-This episode focused on The Janitor was another solid episode (even without the main star for most of the episode). Rating-***1/2

• What About Brian S1.E1 "Pilot" (TV)-The premiere of J.J. Abrams latest series was pretty average but I definitely see the potential in it. I wouldn't be shocked if it was a late bloomer like "Grey's Anatomy." Rating-***

• Bones S1.E17 "The Skull in the Desert" (VHS)-"Bones" is steadily getting better and better. Rating-**1/2
• Unan1mous S1.E2 "Episode 102" (VHS)-Steve comes one vote shy of $1,500,000. Rating-***
• Extreme Makeover Home Edition-After the Storm S1.E4 (VHS)-Unfortunately, this episode was quite boring. Rating-**1/2
• Deal or No Deal S1.E23 (VHS)-The grandmother in this episode has to be the best contestant this show has ever had. She made this possibly the best episode of the series. Rating-****
• Brewers vs. Mets: April 15, 2006 (VHS)-The Brew Crew finally gets their offense going in a win over the Mets (2:30).

• The Amazing Race S9.E7 "Herculean Effort For Some Herculean Dudes" (TV)-I thought for sure my favorite team (the hippies) were doomed but they shockingly pulled it out in the end. Rating-***
• Lost S2.E19 "S.O.S." (TV)-Rose and Bernard's backstory was cute and a little surprising and Michael's re-appearance was good but otherwise there wasn't a lot of answers. There was an early contender for the line of the week though ("I liked you better when you just hit people with your stick").
• George Lopez S5.E22 "It's a Cliffhanger, By George" (VHS)-This fifth season finale wasn't very heavy on the laughs but it brought a number of cliffhangers to the table. Rating-1/2
  
• Freddie S1.E22 "Mother of All Grandfathers" (VHS)-This episode lacked humor and good storylines. Rating-1/2
• Scrubs S5.E18 "My New Suit" (VHS)-Other than the dancing baby, this episode lacked humor. Rating-**1/2

• Deal or No Deal S1.E17 (VHS)-I'm way behind on this show because of NBC's idiotic decision to run it three times a week. Today's edition was another average one. Rating-***
• Extreme Makeover: Home Edition S3.E26 "Craft Family" (TV)-This two hour episode saw Kermit the Frog fill in for Ty Pennington as host. This was an obvious promotional ploy and I really got annoyed with Kermit. Rating-***
• Deal or No Deal S1.E18 (VHS)-I'm starting to think that the producers of this show just plain want to annoy us. This episode had quite possibly the most annoying contestant ever. Rating-***
• The Apprentice S5.E5 "Cruise Control" (VHS)-This season has quite possibly the biggest assortment of idiots to ever grace this show. Rating-***

• Brewers vs. Diamondbacks: April 7, 2006 (VHS)-My Brewers are a perfect 4-0 after Dave Bush's solid debut (1:45).
• Doogie Howser, M.D. S1.E1 "Pilot" (DVD)-It is so odd seeing Neil Patrick Harris as a young kid instead of Barney. Rating-**1/2
• Ghost Whisperer S1.E20 "The Vanishing" (VHS)-A slightly above average episode of the show. Rating-***
• George Lopez S5.E21 "George Discovers How Mescal-ed Up His Life Would Have Been Without the Benny-Fits" (VHS)-A flashback-laden episode that didn't really have many shining moments. Rating-*
• Freddie S1.E21 "Open and Shut" (VHS)-Chris' restaurant opening and subsequent closing made for one of the best episodes of this show's season. Rating-***
• Numb3rs S2.E19 "Dark Matter" (VHS)-This episode dealing with a school shooting was both gutsy and well-done. This was one of the better episodes of the season for "Numb3rs." Rating-***
• Out of Practice S1.E14 "Hot Water" (VHS)-The likely series finale was not that good. Rating-**
• The Unit S1.E5 "Non-Permissive Environment" (VHS)-This show that had been underperforming for weeks finally shows some flashes. Rating-**

April 1-7 Weekly Recap

My first week doing this was a short one but I still managed to watch eighteen episodes and almost fourteen hours in just three days. Of those eighteen watched episodes nine were dramas, five were reality shows, three were comedies, and one was a baseball game.

Average Rating for the Week: 2.82 (out of 5)
Best Episode of the Week: Lost "Dave"-It was given a solid four. Even though it was below average for "Lost" it was still good enough to capture the best rating of the week.
Worst Episode of the Week: The Closer "Flashpoint"-It received only one star. I don't see what the critics love about this show. It's just an average crime drama to me.

• Survival of the Richest S1.E2 "Episode 102" (TV)-This episode was much better than the premiere but it still pales in comparison to "Beauty and the Geek." Rating-***1/2
• Doctor Who (2005) S1.E5 "World War Three (2)" (TV)-Another solid episode of this fantastic sci-fi show. Rating-***1/2
• The Loop S1.E5 "Year of the Dog" (VHS)-This little-watched comedy was one of the biggest finds of the year but this episode only had a few bright spots. Rating-**
• Supernatural S1.E18 "Something Wicked" (VHS)-A very average episode but the brothers' flashbacks were intriguing. Rating-**1/2

• Dawson's Creek S4.E1 "Coming Home" (VHS)-The fourth season of the teen drama opened with Joey and Pacey's return to Capeside. After a series of below average episodes, this one finally got back to being above average. Rating-***1/2
• Dawson's Creek S4.E2 "Failing Down" (VHS)-This was a very slow episode. Rating-**1/2
• The Closer S1.E5 "Flashpoint" (VHS)-Both the case and subplot were pretty boring. Rating-*
• Brewers vs. Pirates: March 5, 2006 (VHS)-My Brewers go 3-0 in a pitcher's duo (2:50)
• Veronica Mars S2.E17 "Plan B" (VHS)-A relatively good episode with lots of romantic changes and a pretty big surprise at the end (Thumper's likely death). Rating-***
• Most Outrageous Moments S1.E11 (VHS)-I think this show is finally starting to run out of quality clips. They seem to be running the same type over and over again. Rating-**1/2
• The Unit S1.E4 "True Believers" (VHS)-A rather slow episode but the affair was shocking. Rating-*1/2
• Survivor S12.E9 "The Power of the Idol" (TV)-Terry's strategizing kept the vote up in the air for the whole episode but the decision wasn't what I had hoped. Rating-***
• American Inventor S1.E4 "Episode 104" (TV)-Another solid episode of this great reality show. However, I have no idea what the judges were smoking (the mob boss' coffee machine makes it but the car armor doesn't?). Rating-***1/2
• My Name Is Earl S1.E21 "The Bounty Hunter" (VHS)-This episode about Earl & Joy's wedding didn't live up to Earl's high standards. As usual, Randy provided a lot of humor but nothing else really stood out. Rating-***
• Extreme Makeover Home Edition-After the Storm S1.E3 (VHS)-The design team's trip to New Orleans was both heartbreaking and moving. Rating-***
